This project comprised the creation of a new fertility clinic within a wonderful Heritage Listed Building in a London location a short walk from Euston Station.

Project Profile

The transformation of the space required a temporary works design and the installation of temporary propping. The temporary works enabled the sequenced formation of new structural openings through the existing one-meter-deep London stock brick spine walls. New openings provide circulation at ground and first floor for consultant access and specialist plant systems were installed to provide clean air and cooling to the laboratory and cryogenic storage areas. The scheme also included:

  • Glass contemporary screens  
  • Mix of glazed doors 
  • Oak doors
  • UPS (uninterrupted power system) gas leak detection
  • Entrance secure video-controlled access
 
Challenge & Solution

As this building was listed, our team planned these works meticulously with our client and obtained all necessary permissions from the Local Authority. Extreme care was taken with and around any intrusive works, with each set of RAMS being reviewed by our management team and client to ensure adherence to the planning permission and LBC.
