Cryogenic Store and Office Refurbishment
Client
Herts & Essex Fertility Clinic
Location
Cheshunt
Duration
4 weeks
Value
£110,000
This project was the extension of the Herts and Essex Fertility Clinic to incorporate an existing office currently in use by Broxbourne Council alongside refurbishments within their existing premises.
Project Profile
The works comprised the refurbishment of the existing office space, the build of stud partitions to create a storage room and another office, alongside a separate refurbishment of a separate office to provide a new cryo storage unit alongside an external compound.
Challenge & Solution
Due to the works being carried out in a live environment, our team ensured no disruption was caused to the surrounding areas by conducting the re-wiring of the fire alarm out of hours. Originally, the alarm was connected to the Broxbourne Council Offices and due to the new layout of the building, it needed to be connected to the refurbished area within the Fertility Clinic. In order to run the cables we had to conduct intrusive works to the ceiling which was managed successfully.
